Client:

This client will be one of the biggest players in the NI Tech scene in a very short space of time. The Software Engineering Manager will be the first Engineering Hire and will essentially play a key role in building out this function. With products all owned from Belfast, this is truly a unique opportunity for any prospective Software Manager to build a world class team in a cutting edge technical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Own accountability for all team deliverables, enuring appropriate prioritization and resource allocation
  • Mentor and support the team with a strong focus on continual improvement
  • Foster close cooperation and communication across all teams
  • Define, track and report all objectives and key performance indicators
  • Enable optimal function and productivity across your team 

 

The Person: 

This role would suit a Tech Lead or Software Lead who is ready to step up into a Management role. Having been a Java coder in the past would really be a benefit.

Experience required:

  • Degree in IT or equivalent
  • 2 years’ minimum in a technical leadership role
  • Experience guiding a team in agile methodologies and practices
  • 5 years’ experience in a Java Development role previously
  • Experience with modern web technologies
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
